Sunshine Delivers emissions-free mobility

The path towards emissions-free mobility

The modes of transportation that emerged along with the Industrial Revolution changed the world forever.

Railroads, ships, and motor vehicles accelerated economic growth and urban expansion, and improved human lives. At the same time, they ushered in an era of greater environmental pollution due to the massive burning of fossil fuels used to power them.

The impact is both long-term and immediate. Air pollution impacts people’s health, causing millions of premature deaths each year.

According to the WMO World Meteorological Organization, global GHG emissions derived from human activity have increased by 50% between 1990 and 2018, and in 2021 it warned of a 50% increase compared to pre-industrial levels.

Taking measures against air pollution is essential.

Today we are experiencing a moment of transition towards a new sustainable environmental, economic and social model. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) the success of the energy transition will depend on the transformation of the global energy sector from fossil sources to carbon-free sources.

The great challenge will be to achieve significant results by 2030 and achieve climate neutrality in 2050, eliminating fossil fuels.

The need to adopt policies that have already given good results in reducing air pollution is imminent, such as prioritizing the adoption of clean methods of electricity generation and the use of renewable energy sources without combustion (solar, wind or hydroelectric).

The key to healing transportation and the environment is to reinvent the model.

It is necessary to create alliances between governments, civil society and financial entities to provide sustainable solutions. According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), cities and other urban areas offer considerable opportunities to reduce emissions.

This reduction can be achieved through lower energy consumption [...] the electrification of transport in combination with low-emission energy sources, and increased carbon absorption and storage through nature.”

Electric cargo vehicles offer multiple benefits

Among their advantages is the reduction of CO2 emissions and other pollutants, as well as less noise pollution, but also, with the growing demand for fast and efficient deliveries, these vehicles can access restricted areas in cities, improving urban logistics.

Investing in fleets of electric freight vehicles is not only an environmentally responsible strategy. In addition to saving lives, it can save a business’ bottom line, especially as the cost of operating these vehicles contiues to decrease. Electric freight vehicles will help companies comply with increasingly strict environmental regulations, and enhance the image of the company as a leader in sustainability and social responsibility.

Have you considered electric freight vehicles for your company?

Sustainable logistics is a fundamental part of our mission, which is why we focus on covering cargo transportation needs in CDMX and the metropolitan area through a fleet of zero-emission electric trucks powered entirely by solar energy.
