Sunshine Delivers CO2 and trees

Carbon dioxide (CO2) and global warming

What is carbon dioxide (CO2) and how does it affect the environment?

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is composed of oxygen and carbon, and is a colorless, odorless gas that is a natural component of air. Through the decomposition of organic matter, CO2 is released into the atmosphere as part of a natural process, or from events such as volcanic eruptions and forest fires.

However, it comes largely from human activities, and in the last 200 years CO2 emissions have multiplied. Its increase in the atmosphere is what triggers the phenomenon that today we call climate change or global warming.

Long-term climate goals

The Paris Agreement sets long-term goals as a guide for all nations and includes commitments to reduce emissions, to work together to adapt to the impacts of climate change, and to increase commitments over time.

To meet the world’s climate goals, both individuals and businesses must achieve significant reductions in carbon emissions.

The beginning to achieve net zero emissions is for electricity to replace polluting energies in the largest possible volume.

Trees against CO2

Plants, and specifically trees, absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) to grow, and through the process of photosynthesis, they help to significantly reduce atmospheric CO2.

Although the carbon absorption capacity can vary, a tree absorbs approximately between 10kg and 30kg of CO2 per year.

Trees against global warming

22 trees are required to meet the oxygen demand of one person per day.

What are Sunshine Delivers’ actions in its commitment to the environment?

At Sunshine Delivers we know that a significant portion of the industrial sector’s emissions come from transportation, which is why we are determined to create changes that have a positive impact on our communities, both locally and nationally.

At Sunshine Delivers we focus on the concept of green logistics to offer sustainable freight within Mexico City and the CDMX metropolitan area that do not generate any type of GHG (Greenhouse gas) emissions.

We have the necessary infrastructure in solar panels and charging stations to power our entire fleet of delivery units. Sunshine Delivers delivery vehicles are not hybrids, but are completely electric units powered by solar energy, and therefore generate no noise, no smell, and no carbon emissions.

With the aim of bringing sunshine to more areas of the Mexican Republic, by 2025 we will have larger capacity cargo units that will cover the cargo transportation needs of your company, in the areas of Querétaro and El Bajío.

The sun can also move your company!

With Sunshine Delivers, you will know that you are also participating in caring for the planet since you will be able to know the number of kilometers traveled, the savings in greenhouse gas emissions, and the number of trees you have helped save.
